Miniature of Natestus I of Estontetso, from Chronica Regia Ducetiensis ca. 460 BP, Cèdre, Bibliothèque Royale, Ms. 467, fol. 64v
Natestus I, in Estontetsan called Natesta, was Emperor of Liliana and Emperor of Estontetso.
Life[]
Natestus I was an offspring of the Bejufas Dynasty which reigned in Liliana since 1156 BP. As Emperor of Estontetso he renamed it the Augustian Dynasty which remained in power until 547 BP.
His father was Kuri Dinho II, "O Bruto" (the Gross) whose birth must be assumed[1] around 690 BP. His reign began supposedly in 680 BP. He died in 607 BP.
Natestus I's birth is assumed around 655 BP. On his father's death in 607 BP, he succeded to the throne of Liliana which he occupied until his death in 578 BP.
His son Claudius I, born supposedly around 635 BP, followed him to the throne in 578 BP and reigned until 571 BP.

Liliana[]
Towards the end of the Liliani Empire, its territories gradually slipped away. Natestus I's father Emperor Kuri Dinho II dad tried to hold the far-flung empire together with brutal force. When Natestus I finally became Emperor, he stopped the obvious futility of this proceeding. Instead, he concentrated on strengthening the Liliani heartland, abandoning the periphery.
Estontetso[]
In 600 BP, this heartland, consisting of the counties around the most powerful and central counties Arrebarbadera and Bezana-Buba, governed by Natestus I himself,[2] became a new nation called the Empire of Estontetso.
In exchange of maintaining under control these territories, Natestus I gave the counts greater power. He let them form more or less autonomous, kingdom-like counties, model and forerunners of modern Estontetso's Constituent Republics. With this system he prevented attempts of separatism. Only in 579 BP, Natestus I's cousin and count of Gorami was confident and powerful enough to make the emperor grant his county independence, which it then actually maintained for nearly 500 years. In addition Gorami received the western part of Arrebarbadera, the eastern part of which was attached to Bezana-Buba.
