Appearance Of The PanKona Dynasty[]
The Plague had caused a great chaos in the administration of the Empire of Estontetso which in the end cost the last emperor of the Catavian Dynasty, Justinian III, his power. In 27 AP his First Minister Agosto PanKona forced his accession to the throne under the name Augustus V, becoming the progenitor of the PanKona dynasty. He began a comprehensive administrative reform. The administration of the empire was to get very centralised, making the concept of "Nation-State" one of its pillars. There was no more room for autonomy which was seen as secession, and the puzzle of peoples within the empire were to be "standardised". This lack of respect for the various cultures was to become the main reason for the later implosion of the state.
In 63 AP Augustus V died, and Emperor D. Xoninhas PanKona I the Only ascended the throne. He accomplished and concluded the reform work of his father by officially dissolving the Empire of Estontetso and proclaiming the Kingdom of Estontetso on 5 October 97 AP.
The Time Of The Kingdom[]
The population enjoyed that the reforms also brought an era of freedom, a new way of ruling the country, far from the rigid and musty imperial hierarchy.
The military was still honoured albeit settled for defence and show of force. Typical example was the grand fleet.
But over the years, conditions became difficult, even dire. Freedom of press was suppressed and political arrests were made practice. The democratic forces tried to expose the situation, but the only forum left, the parliament, was useless as its election was fraudulent. More autonomy was asked for. Peaceful demonstrations marched through the cities. At the same time, the kingdom isolated itself more and more and did not take part any more in the vexwide development of sciences and technology.
With the kingdom running into failure, positions were extremed. Fascist leaders incited ethnic fanaticism, devastating for a multi-ethnic society. At last, a civil war broke out and on 23 October 297 AP the country was occupied by foreign powers. On 24 November 297, the king, fearing for his power, secretly left to Christiana in search of support, and on 29th November abdicated.

Royalism Today[]
On 3 Oct 322, Estontetso's would-be Heir Apparent, Crown Prince Agosto PanKona, delivered a speech to a large crowd. His central point was that 25 years of republican rule had not brought the country forward, and that it were time to re-install the kingdom or, in his word, the empire. Political observers still try to make believe that the monarchists are only a minority, albeit a significant one, but there is heavy support from populist and nostalgic factions, not to forget the followers of the ruling system which, as an autocracy, is already close to a monarchy, so their chances to erect a new kingdom are not bad.
