James Donovan Motorsports, more commonly known as simply "James Donovan," is an Eastern Zartanian automobile racing team owned by His Excellency James Donovan, 37th Earle of Masik. The team has been active in professional stock car racing, through the RZOEAZ sanctioning body, since 299AP (1363 by the Zartanian Calendar), fielding a car in each season of the RZOEAZ. The team's #47 Eclipse Homegoods Kunghai is currently driven by Utanian Gordan Marapae. In 313AP, the team expanded its motorsports participation to include open-wheel racing in the International Championship Auto Racing Association (ICARA). The team currently fields a single car in that series as well: the #47 Donovan Estates Kunghai, driven by Somerish driver Tewell Curbith. Through the first two years of the team's involvement in professional stock car racing, it was known as Donovan Noble Racing. In 301AP, the team changed its name to the simpler James Donovan. The name was changed again to its current form in 313AP with their expansion into open-wheel racing. The team continues to be a family affair, with His Excellency the Earle of Masik acting as owner, president, and chief executive officer, while his daughter and former team driver, Lady Jessica Donovan, acts as the team's Director of Competition. His Excellency's nephew, Edward Harstaare, serves as James Donovan Motorsports' head of research and development and currently acts as the primary liaison with Chungese automaker Kunghai, who supplies the chassis and engines for the team's RZOEAZ and ICARA cars.

RZOEAZ[]

James Donovan Motorsports' involvement in professional stock car racing began in 299AP when they were one of the original stock car racing teams in the RZOEAZ. Since that time, the team has had five different drivers, but has only managed to notch two victories. The team has had some difficulties retaining both drivers and sponsors, and the points standings have reflected those difficulties. Lady Jessica Donovan, the owner's daughter, was the first driver hired by the team and the longest retained. She left after three years and was replaced by fellow Eastern Zartanian Charles Karhoff, who brought the team their first victory in the 1367 Brytanea Stek 300. The team's second victory came in 1377 Petroline 400 at the hands of Utanian rookie Gordan Marapae.

ICARA[]

The team made the move to open-wheel racing in the ICARA series in 313AP, continuing its alliance with Chungese manufacturer Kunghai. With sponsorship from Donovan Estates, Mike Ham, Exqot Motor Oil, and Malumade, the team hired Somerish rookie Tewell Curbith and made its debut in the 313 Ayrtona 500.
