Iestyn III; Iestyn Idwal Tomos Crws Lowarch, born 26 September 251 in the Royal Palace in Aberban, is the King of Kemedal. He ascended to the throne on 6 October 299 following the death of his father King Iestyn II, but as the Royal Family lived in exile following the unstable political situation in the former Gronk Empire of which Kemedal was an autonomous kingdom, Iestyn III's coronation took place only in 302, after Kemedal became independent and the Royal Family returned. Iestyn III is the oldest son of Iestyn II and his wife Queen Moera (born Countess Moera of Llanbïw); he has two younger brothers: prince Caerwyn (253-311), the former Duke of Gwaun, and prince Iorweth (*258).
Upon his 18th birthday in 269, prince Iestyn was created Grand Duke of Aberban, a title reserved for the heir apparent if this is the son or daughter of the ruling monarch. Nine years later he married Lady Llinos of Brogarw, the current Queen Llinos, with whom he has three children: the Grand Duke of Aberban (prince Iestyn, born 279), the Duchess of Gwaun (princess Gwendolen, born 282), and Prince Eurig (born 285).
