Earliest documented Flags in Estontetso[]

Engraved images, 4000-5000 years old, obviously showing flags, banners or standards, have been found in 130 AP close to Leumund in Estontetso.

Their find context leaves no doubt that such flags were used already back then and that they had the same function as today, namely to indicate ranks and distinguish individuals and groups.

It is being discussed whether the flags with a circle really mean towns or fenced-in settlements.

The difference between triangular and square flags is still completely unclear.

Regional/District/Communal Flags[]

Flags of the administrative subdivisions have 4/3/2 horizontal or vertical stripes using colours from the flag of their superior entity.

The flags of metropolises cities and towns are decorated by attached triangles or by streamers, which to distinguishes them from rural entities.

The standards of the mayors etc. and the directors will be changed from the intermediate standardised form to the pattern already in use for the federation and the constituent republics, i.e. adding palm leaves or quills, respectively, to the flag of their entity (cf. both types below).

The flags of adjacent territories have different patterns. According to the Four color theorem a minimum of 4 different patterns is required, and these 4 are available even in Constituent Republics with only bicoloured flags: horizontal and vertical stripes, each starting either with one colour or the other.

In the centre of the flag is an individual coat of arms of two thirds the height of the flag in the prescribed form and bordered with a cord in Esto colours. They may use any colours from the national colour spectrum (gold, silver, red, blue, green, black and brown)[4] and any symbols from the national symbols pool (Star of Liliana, Lion of Micholerdia, Eagle of Goramia, Cross of Peganhosa, Star of Alembida).
