Historic Development of Ethnicities and Minorities[]

Etontetso's ethnicies result from the development since the earliest-known population.^[1]

Empapas called themselves Micholerdios, today Empapadus again.
Bezuntas called themselves Peganhosos, today Bezuntadis, Indacastanis, Kerzenhoquis, and Peganoses (the latter came from Northern Estontetso during the Civil War).
Gregurdica(di)s (developed where, descended from whom?), today Gorami.
Lambucas split up into Alembidos und Burburreicos, today Lambuzadis again.
The white areas in ARB and BZB are mixed Bezuntadis and Empapadus.

Modern Distribution of Ethnicities and Minorities in the Republics[]

There are two types of Republics: Historical Republics, whose inhabitants are ethnically a branch of one of the Three Tribes, and Special Status Republics (S.S.R.), whose inhabitants are ethnically immigrants and/or refugees.

The status of Autonomous Region (Antónia Pucarina) has been granted to three regions where more than 1/5 of the population of a Republic are not part of the main ethnical group, and more than 2/3 are concentrated in a specific region. Autonomous Regions traditionally receive education in mother tongue. Other peculiarities are provided for, but never utilised.

Jalanastão (S.S.R.)	JLN	Mostly refugees from former Northern Estontetso, who fled when their territory fell under foreign rule (during the Civil War in Estontetso) which severely violated human rights, and were invited to settle deserted areas along the border.	^[5]

Concept Abolished 321, Reintroduced 324[]

In October 321, the concept of ethnicities was abolished, pretending it was a discrimination. The special status of the Special Status Republics and the autonomy of the Autonomous Regions became obsolete.

At the end of 324, discussions about the reintroduction of the system began against the backdrop of looming elections. As the Gorami-dominated ruling party had no rosy prospects of regaining an absolute majority, they have to come to terms with the Conservatives and the Royalists and offer to restore the old rights.

In anticipation of this, two more regions were granted autonomy in October 324, another (Estontalle) was about to be, while one (Salistão) remained abolished because it did not even comply with the pre-321 law: Peganhoses and Bezuntadis belong to one and the same ethnos.

↑ [TECH: There is a hilarious meaning behind some of the names given to the ethnicities, when translated from Portugese (by the help of Mr. Ivo Férin): Bezuntas is similar to "besuntas", the verb besuntar translates to smear; Empapas is also a verb "empapar", stuffing or soggy; Lambuças is almost a slang word, calling someone fatty or someone slurping food; Peganhosos is plural for sticky; Gregurdiça is made up; Micholerdios is made up, but reminds of "michordia" whish is disgusting mix; Alembidos is made up; Burburreicos is made up, but reminds of diahrrea; Bezuntadis and Goramian is made up; Iparalapuquis is made up ("Ipara" words are more brazilian portuguese than continental portuguese). Republic names are all almost made up, except for Botabaixo which translates to a slang for "down the throat" or bilge drinking something; Sacristão is a sexton person]
