Road signs have always been in the national colours. Formerly red and white, they were redesigned in April 324 AP to show the colours gold-red-white, national colours since 321.
The symbology follows international usage. However, due to regional particularities there are signs that need explanation.
Road Sign design since April 324
The pre-324 design is still around
One of the most important signs for the transcontinental traffic is the guidepost to and along the well-developed transit roads
As the construction of autobahns, highways or motorways - in Esto called "Motorweg" - progresses, more and more of these signposts will appear
People travelling to the desert areas in the south do well to take water with them, so they are reminded by this special and unique sign called 'obligation to carry a supply of water'; the counterpiece of the 'obligation to use snow chains' in the mountains
Car Plates[]
All motor vehicles in Estontetso have to be registered. They get a plate which states the country ("EST", except for diplomatic corps as it is deemed inappropriate to have a foreign diplomat's car show a country name different from their own), the Constituent Republic or federal public organisation (government authority/administration office or trust/combine/factory, 1-3 letter codes below) and a serial number. The plate colour shows the type of ownership (colour codes below).
As Esto's membership in the CLU means several advantages for the citizens when travelling in CLU member countries, the "CLU" label should be added.
