The changing of the guard proper: The relieving company has marched in as scheduled above. The company to be relieved is standing already on the opposite side. Both companies will then march in a half circle and take the place of the other one. This is accompanied by music and by the relevant commands and reports.

If the unit is lined up at a state visit, the commander will not stay in the line but step up to report to the state guest and accompany him/her for the usual inspection of the troops.

Military Honours at State Visits[]

  • At state visits of Heads of Government, military honours are delivered by a company of Guards, therefore the same procedure as above applies.
  • At state visits of Heads of State, a full battalion is required, therefore the same procedure as below applies, as a Regiment of Guards has the de facto strength of a battalion.

Confer of Honorary Command[]

Other Military Ceremonies[]

  • The weekly Changing Of The Guard on Sundays has already been taken up again in February 322.
  • A yearly Flag Day Ceremony (22 February, 22 o'clock, at Höhenburg Duceta) will follow the first one of 322.

Many more proposals reached the palace of which these have been approved and will be implemented:

  • Heroes' Memorial Day Parade (7 April) to remember the fallen of all times
  • Takeover Day Parade (18 May) to commemorate the seizure of power by the Gorami led by W. S. Hombruch in 321
  • Trooping The Colour Ceremony (31 August) to mark the annual end of basic training period
  • President's Birthday Parade (6 November)
